Deadline for entries: NEW DATE - Extended to the 10th of August 2010

What’s New?

With the merging of the UK and International Awards we have made some changes to the category criteria and judging process. These improvements will ensure that we continue to recognise and reward the very best in UK and overseas events.

What do I need to do to enter?
  1. Choose which categories you want to enter
  2. Write your written submission following the guidelines below
  3. Source 4 high resolution images (300 dpi in jpeg or eps format)
  4. Put together any further supporting material following the guidelines below
  5. Register and enter your submission online
You have 5MB in total for each online entry you upload. Please ensure that your entry does not exceed 5MB as you will not be able to upload it successfully. If you have live footage you would like to include in your submission then please host the movie on a web page and include a link to the movie in your written submission.

Your Written Submission

The word limit for your written submission is 1500, for each 100 words that exceed the 1,500 word maximum, five marks will be deducted by the judges (this does not include text within additional support material). Excellence in the conception, planning and management of events can be defined through a mix of creativity and expertise. Provision of the following key information will enable the judges to reach a fair evaluation of your submission:

  • Brief summary explaining why the project is relevant for this category

  • Background, brief and objectives

  • Strategy applied in response to the brief

  • Details of promotional communication where relevant

  • Event or programme content

  • Technical content where relevant

  • Logistical elements where relevant

  • Points of difference or examples of best practice

  • Assessment of outcome with supporting data, if available, or evaluation method used.

Eligibility period

All projects entered for the Eventia Awards must have taken place between 31 August 2008 – 30 June 2010 .

Support Material

Please note you may only upload a total of 5MB. After you have uploaded your 1500 word submission you may then upload images to illustrate your project, min 300dpi (do not provide images in pdf format). Images may be used in the Awards supplement and the AV presentation should your entry reach the shortlist. Please make clear any special instructions that will help the judges access internet sites you may have provided.

Supporting Material should be sent no later than Friday 6 August.

Terms and Conditions

Entries may be withdrawn before 16 August 2010, but no entry fees are refundable. Entries/support material will not be returned, but collection may be arranged by applying to the event manager at the time of entry. Please note that entries for which collection has not been arranged will be securely disposed of 10 working days after the Awards ceremony.
